Storm

What a Velvet Story! Introducing our award-winning Croatian-bred Havanese puppy, Storm (Velvet Story 'N Ba-Da Best Hurricane) who is co-owned with Danijela Kobe. This great young prospect is writing his own whirlwind story here in the UK. Storm was awarded the accolade of Havanese Top Puppy 2023 in the prestigious Our Dogs Top Puppy Competition!

The Havanese Top Puppy 2023 title was awarded on the basis of show performances at CC-awarded UK Championship Shows and includes rigorous criteria.

From June to December 2023, Storm was awarded:

  • Best Puppy in Show and Best Puppy Dog at the 9th Havanese Club of Great Britain (HCGB) Championship (Special) Show (14 October 2023)
  • Best Puppy in Breed four times (Paignton, WKC, City of Birmingham and SWKA)
  • Reserve Best in Sex in Breed (Reserve Best Dog) twice (Bournemouth and City of Birmingham).
  • First Place at Seven (7) Puppy Dog Championship Classes (Paignton, Bournemouth, WKC, City of Birmingham, Richmond, Darlington and Havanese Club of Great Britain Special)
  • First Place at Two (2) Junior Dog Championship Classes (SWKA and LKA)

Thanks to the judges Venessa Wegmann-Williams, Claire Mills, Andrew Stewart, Hiroshi Tsuyuki, Hans van den Berg, Andrew Leonard, Evan Ryan, Lucy Mottram and Nick Gourley for their careful and thorough assessments.

In 2024, Storm has continued his great form in the UK. At CRUFTS 2024, Storm went on to win the highly competitive Junior Dog Class and has won successive Junior Dog Classes at numerous UK Championship Shows.

Storm is so energetic and confident in the show ring and is clearly enjoying himself in the UK.

It was great to see Storm do so well, alongside his best Adorele soul-mate, Romeo (Adorele Master of the House).

'Puppy Dog 1st Miles & Kobe’s Velvet Story ‘N Bada-Best Hurricane, What a cracking puppy to start the day. Beautifully presented in a typical soft puppy coat. Lovely dark pigment, good bite and pretty Havanese expression. A balanced youngster with springy happy gait on the move. He certainly enjoyed his day out and pulled out all the stops to win BPIS later in the day'.

1st Miles & Kobe’s Velvet Story N’Bada Best Hurricane at Adorele - What an exciting start to my judging of the breed today! A 9 month old tricolour who had oodles of confidence and ring presence. Balanced outline and of good size. Handsome head of good proportions, skull broad with slight rounding, muzzle of good length with strong underjaw. Well pigmented throughout. Expressive, almond shaped dark eye of good set giving a pleasing expression. Moderate amount of neck fitting into a sound front with well laid shoulders. Forelegs straight. Correct body proportions, slightly longer than high without being overdone or short on leg, chest developing well, ribs well sprung and carried well back, short loin, level topline which he kept at all times. Hindquarters strong and sound. High set tail carried well over his back well feathered. Puppy coat of good texture, presented very well. Comes alive on the move, sound from all angles with a spring in his step. Loved him ... Couldn’t be denied Reserve Best Dog (RBD) in this quality entry.
